So many of you have expressed interest in Puchanga. Puchanga did summit! He was the last person on the top of Everest this year. Bud said many times that if there was any way possible, he at least wanted Puchanga to get to the top. It was hard for Bud not to make it to the top, but it was such a thrill for us to see Puchanga succeed.
Bud is on his way back to Lukla. A storm was brewing in the Bay of Bengal last I talked with him. This would cause snow higher up and rain further down during their trek through the Khumbu. I have not heard from him in several days and don’t really know what his schedule will be for arriving home. Part of the adventure is getting home.
I will have a pot of stew and some buttery honey cornbread waiting for him. I thought about fixing him some yak stew! Think I better stick to beef.
