I got a call from Bud this morning updating me on his status.  What a difference a day makes!  He sounded so upbeat and ready to conquer the mountain.  He is continuing up the mountain.  I think I must have misunderstood him yesterday.  Please understand that frequently our phone conversations have gaps that I have to mentally fill in due to static, etc.  He said there is an improvement in weather and it is quite possible that he could be looking at a summit this Thursday evening.

In his words:  “Terri, keep your phone on during choir practice.”  No problemo.

This is the most gut-wrenching week.  Yesterday morning I felt and Bud sounded depleted.  After this our conversation this morning–I am just a little giddy.  I will keep you in the loop.
