Thanks for joining in Bud's journey!

Since the Ledger article appeared featuring Bud's 2009 Everest journey on Wednesday, we have had an amazing response. Thank you to all who have sent encouraging messages. I will attempt in my very technologically challenged manner to forward these on to Bud.

I spoke with Bud by sat phone this morning. He stayed behind in Loubouche for one more day. He experienced another bout of the Khumbu Bug. The rest of the team continued on to Base Camp and Bud will follow tommorrow. Evidently his first episode was only a test and this was the real thing. He is feeling alot better. It just really leaves you feeling weak.

He expressed that there was no real hurry to arrive at Base Camp as the Puja ceremony will not happen until next week and he will be spending plenty of time hanging around Base Camp as it is.

Bud does not do "sitting around" very well. On many of our joint travels, I find myself waving at him as he goes by involved in whatever physically challenging activity he has decided to pursue for the day. Our daughters have claimed that he has a fear of sea level. I am sure there is some phobic phrase that applies.

Please continue to pray for the health and safety of all the folks involved in this 2009 Everest adventure. It is a comfort to know that so many of our friends, family and acquaintances are supporting Bud's endeavor.

Thanks, Terri
